Happy Monday!
I hope you had a good weekend.
We did nothing, and you know what?
Well it was brilliant.
We were expecting snow (according to the weather forecast on Friday morning).
So we hunkered down, cooked, ate, read, built K-nex, watched The Wicker Man on DVD (what the heck was that all about?!), baked bread, indulged in some cheese and our own Market Garden honey.
Oh and can I recommend the 'little prune puddings with caramel sauce' from Nigel Slater's Kitchen Diaries 2 - it tastes so good.
It's been lovely and relaxing.
Just what we needed after last week.
What did you all get up to? x
I would like one of those, somehow are weekends never turn out quite like that!
ReplyDeleteNo snow in London! x
The snow didn't come at the weekend anyway. But it has arrived now! x
DeleteSounds like a perfect weekend! We hunkered down too, but only a light dusting of snow on Saturday and all melted by the evening. Heavy overnight though so everything looking so pretty this morning. Your bread & pudding looks delicious!

Snow - yay! It's gone all gloomy here...again - I hope we have a fresh smattering.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,

We're waiting for snow too - sledges at the ready. Haven't seen the striped cheese before, looks good!
ReplyDeleteMy father in law made us a wardrobe and put up a mantelpiece in our bedroom which has thrilled me no end. We went to a packed and heated-to-the-max cinema to see The SIlver Linings Playbook on Sat and then out for Sunday lunch and had one of those 'vegetarian' dinners that are just veg and gravy. So lovely really! Also watched Martha May Marcy Marlene on DVD which freaked me out a bit.
ReplyDeleteWe had an icing of snow here this morning ... all gone now though!! xxx
ReplyDeleteJen, your weekend sounds perfect, and I could've done with one like that myself! Ours was nice but pretty relentless, I have to say. The snow is here now though!

Weekends like that are great! Ours was actually quite busy but in a good way. Just catching up with friends and enjoying the sunshine. x
ReplyDeleteMmm, that pudding looks delish! Oh, and I love your little clock widget! Unfortunately WordPress won't let me install one on my blog *sob*
ReplyDeletesounds like a lovely weekend, quiet and relaxing, mine was similar but I also went to see Les Mis which was amazing!
